We know how difficult and costly it can be to go on a family holiday and have to book your dog into a kennel or find someone to look after him/her. We do however have a few common-sense dos and don'ts. Around the cottages, gardens and play area we ask that your dog is on a lead. This is for the sake of our younger visitors and anyone who may be a little nervous with dogs around. Any fouling near the cottages, gardens or the play area should be popped into a plastic bag and put in the doggy bin provided in the dustbin area. Doggy bags are available in the Laundry room if you have run out... We always have at least one field empty for you to exercise your dog in freely, without a lead or having to clear up after it. There is also our woodland to walk in, which most dogs love as it is full of rabbit and squirrel smells! Dogs are not allowed in the farmyard itself, or in a field where there are animals. The sheep, ponies and alpacas are so curious that if a dog goes in their field they all come stampeding across, frightening dog and owner! If you want your dog to sit on the furniture just bring along a doggy blanket to cover it. We do ask you not to leave him/her alone in the cottage for long periods of time as we have had several dogs which have become very distressed when left. There is a very real risk of damage occuring in the cottage and the constant barking is also a disturbance to other guests.
