Choose, as you will, from the splendid Table d'Hote menu or, should you prefer, explore the more casual bar menu with additional daily specials. Whatever you decide, you will find a wonderful selection of excellent dishes to delight your palate made with the finest local produce. The chefs Mathew and Andrea will be at your service.
The elegant main restaurant, decorated in a style reflecting the association with salmon fishing and country life, is an ideal venue in which to sample the best of Devon cooking. Alternatively, the popular and cosy 'River Room' provides an intimate venue for those with a preference for low ceilings and beams. Both experiences are complemented by unobtrusive service and a comprehensive selection of fine wines from around the world.

For casual dining, there is always the 'Anglers Bar' where home made snacks featuring many local specialities are available. Here you can be sure of a warm welcome and the food they serve in their small restaurant is excellent. It is also very reasonably priced. Children welcome.

THE LYMINGTON ARMS - Wembworthy - 01837 83572 The restaurant menu at the Lymington Arms is superb. Open - Tuesday - Saturday. The chef Steve Kinsey, started his career at South Devon College where in 1980 he became Student of the Year. He went on to win many awards for his culinary art.
In 1991 he went to Barbados to become head chef of Sandy Lane Hotel - a world famous 5 star hotel. Returning to Devon in 1994 Steve first took over a pub in Winkleigh and in 1998 won The North Devon Pub Food award. Now at the restaurant at the Lymington Arms, Steve's culinary and artistic art is becoming known far and wide.

OLD COACHING INN - South Molton 01769 572526 The Old Coaching Inn has been a staging house and pub for over 300 years. It has of course grown in that time and was purchased by Victor and Sue in March 1997. They have brought the old pub back to life making it the "Inn Place" in South Molton. With a large bar area, ample parking, separate restaurant and function room, the Inn is ideal for both large and small parties. The menu has a full range of steak, game, poultry and fish, all produced in the West Country. Also with home cooked pastas, pies, curries,special dishes for children and vegetarians along with a fine selection of wines, Victor and Sue are confident that your meal will be a pleasure.

With old worldly features such as exposed beams and cosy inglenook fireplacesnorth devon pubs, it makes the perfect surroundings in which to enjoy a lunchtime drink, or wine and dine in the intimate dining areas. The chef offers a wide-ranging menu catering for all tastes, using the freshest local produce wherever possible.

With delicious home made sweets, a fine selection of ales and wines the Stags Head Inn offers excellent quality and value.

 MANOR HOUSE INN - Croyde Tel 01271 890241 Don and Helen Feasey have owned the Manor House Inn for two years and run the business with their daughter Lindsay and local chef Jenny Allen. This 16th century former coaching inn is situated in the village of Croyde and offers an excellent range of beers and real ales. there is an extensive menu along with daily specials and traditional Sunday Lunches, which can be taken in the bar or old barn dining room. There is a large beer garden and childrens play area, ample parking and often live entertainment. Highly commended in Pub Food Awards 1999.

 HELE BAY - Nr Ilfracombe Tel 01271 867795 Pat and Mervyn Lethaby have run Hele Bay for nearly four years. It's a comfortably run "Local Pub" situated only yards from Hele Beach. The pub is open all day and offers a comprehensive menu (for adults & children), traditional ales, beer garden, childrens games room, ample parking and a very warm welcome. Sunday lunches are very popular and booking is advisable.

 CHICHESTER ARMS - Mortehoe Tel 01271 870411 David and Jane Pugh have owned the Chichester Arms for over 4 years. Situated next to the church in the pretty village of Mortehoe near Woolacombe, this unique 16th century pub is gas lit and once was the old vicarage! The Chichester arms offer a variety of real ales, cider, foreign beers, ample parking, beer garden and outside terrace. Specialising in fresh seafood, steaks, roast meats, and fresh vegetables all cooked to order, a visit is most definitely worthwhile.

 FOX & GOOSE INN - Parracombe Tel 01598 763239 Parracombe, being an unspoilt village on the edge of Exmoor, makes the Fox & Goose an ideal lunch or evening destination.
